The REEV Competition Philosophy

The REEV competition is an outcome of a well-conceived purpose to springboard the next generation of urban mobility pioneers. SAE Bengaluru, together with partners such as General Motors Technical Centre-India and TVS Motors to name a few worked for over eighteen months to make REEV  competition a reality! The purpose and vision have been a driving force since the conception of this competition. These are shared values across SAE, and all the partners of REEV !

Vision
To create an elite engineering platform which can enhance the knowledge and skills of students through experiential learning in electric, hybrid and other energy efficient urban mobility solutions.
Purpose
To Introduce Students to the rigour of a disciplined and structured vehicle development culture as prevalent in the Automotive Industry, focusing on safety, innovation, quality and sustainability.
Student Goal
Make an urban vehicle that is Fuel Efficient (FE), considering Environment and Technology in mind through a disciplined and structured development plan.
